- Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and operation of the internal and external systems users. May also be responsible for Internet/intranet web support. May provide service support for online systems. Specific duties include installing, troubleshooting, and assisting users in the proper and efficient use of the system, identifying systems needs and locating vendors, defining and monitoring systems for backups and disk use maintenance, and ensuring overall system integrity. May also supervise lower level administrators and recommend policies and procedures to enhance service and efficiency. In small companies, this position may hav etotal responsibility for administration and content. This position typically requires a bachelor's degree and two to three years relevant experience.
