Job Description:
WSA - Researches technical information, writes original documentation, edits material and completes insertion of graphic layouts necessary for a complete document. Projects entail preparing a specific section of a complex manual, on-line help, or other technical material, or preparing hte complete product of a basic or simple manual. May test software for logic accuracy and usability, reporting bugs to product development. A bachelor's degree in communications or English 3- 5 years experience writing technical manuals may be required for this position.

Salary.com - Prepares and/or maintains documentation pertaining to programming, systems operation and user documentation. Translates business specifications into user documentation. Plans, writes, and maintains systems and user support documentation efforts, including online help screen. May require an associate's degree in a related area and 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

ESD - 27-3042 Technical Writer: Write technical materials, such as equipment manuals, appendices, or operating and maintenance instructions. May assist in layout work.
